When England is occupied by the Normans in 1066 and Normandy gets under control of France, the Normandic island of Jersey becomes an English fiefdom as the Bailiwick of Jersey. Between 1940 and 1945 Jersey is occupied by Germany. Jersey is now a parliamentary democracy. No parties are active in Jersey, but some parliamentarians have represented the Jersey Democratic Movement.
